The Kimberley is packed with artistic and cultural diversity, this is but a small selection of the Art Trail haunts we visit regularly.

  • 1. Broome Streetscaping and Storytelling

    Carnavan St, Short St, Dampier Tce – full of history, brilliant displays of creative local street art and, our faviourite, one of the best examples of sense of place streetscapes (congratulations Shire of Broome)

  • 2. Mosaics & Sculpture

    Paspaley Shopping Centre, Reconciliation park (next to Broome Visitor centre), Broome Primary School, Broome Police Station, North West Regional TAFE, independent locations: Cnr Banu Ave & Reid Rd.

  • 3. Cable Beach Club

    Lord McAlpine’s private collection of eclectic antiques, furnishings and garden sculpture throughout the gardens, foyer and restaurants of ‘the Club’. The Chahoya Spa is worth visiting for its collection of Nolan paintings alone.

  • 4. Gallery Exhibitions

    BlackStump, Short St, Sobrane (in the garden of Matso’s Brewery), University of Notre Dame.

  • 5. Community Art further afield

    Bidyadanga Art Centre (180km south), Norval Gallery (220km north), Mowanjum Art Centre (220km north from Broome).

  • 6. Local markets and around town

    We have a propensity for collecting beautifully carved Boab seeds, direct from the artist at the Courthouse markets and around Broome town.
